Government offices are officially open Monday to Saturday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.  The lunch break and siesta are from 11:00 or 11:30 am to about 2:00 or 2: 30 pm.  Private businesses and shops generally follow the same schedule, although some shops may remain open longer.

Banks, ministries and embassies are closed during all public holidays and festivals.
