"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed. " Albert Einstein |

Roads – The “roads” throughout the country are horrible although better than what they were. When there is asphalt/pavement, you can expect pavement between massive and very frequent potholes. Where they are bridges, there is usually no pavement before or after it. When there are no bridges, expect pavement. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to what is being done and where. The roads between Siem Reap to Poi Pet and between Siem Reap to Phnom Penh are pretty much the same as of the end of 2003 and early 2004….and that is adds up to a very, very rough ride. Expect "seasick" bags to be available in the larger bus company buses on the road from Siem Reap to Poi Pet! In May 2004 however, the road between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap has improved to the point where complete bridges and paved roads exist for the first 4 hours of the journey north out of Phnom Penh. After this, you will still have another 1.5-2 hours of transits around bridges and either very dusty or muddy roads.

Dong Thap, Dinh Ba-Bon Tia Chac Cray border gate between Viet Nam's Me Kong Delta province of Dong Thap and Cambodia's Prey Veng province, was inaugurated on Wednesday. After the inauguration, Dong Thap province will build Baley bridge across the So Ha River to facilitate transport between the two countries. Next to the border gate, the Vietnamese side had built Dinh Ba market at a cost of 7 billion VND (about 470,000USD), aimed to boost economic cooperation between the two provinces.
